- "SoleSavvy! is written and designed by me, Karen Pugh Lascaris at the KLascaris Design Studio in Los Angeles. I'm an author, shoe designer, illustrator, wife and mom (with two amazing kitties!) who creates and illustrates for the fashion, film, and publishing industries. I have over 18 years of fashion industry experience, and I'm also the author of "In Our Own Image: Treasured African American Traditions, Journeys, and Icons". I've worked with a diverse range of companies including Ralph Lauren, Celine, Revlon, Running Press, Writers' Digest, and Lincoln Center.
